    Neo's mother was taken to a rescue centre.  She gave birth to a litter but only 10 days later she escaped from her cage. Despite a lot of work to try to keep her babies fed and warm that night all but four died.  Two days later she was found and returned to her cage.  However, instead of caring for her young she attacked them and two had to be put to sleep.  The two remaining babies were fed hourly and kept warm continually until they were big enough to take care of themselves.  Neo was slightly traumatised by the whole experience and cried when being touched, but with a lot of patience and TLC he is much more confident.  He still remains  slightly underweight, and probably will always be a bit on the light side.
